Industrial Park | Hyderabad, March 12 (Namaste Telangana): Since coming to power, the Congress government, which has been encroaching on the lands of the poor, has not given up any expensive lands in and around Hyderabad. Even though farmers are complaining that no land has been given, the government is unilaterally issuing notifications in the name of industrial parks. Those who have objections are being directed to file a complaint at the collector’s office. Recently, a notification was issued on Wednesday for the acquisition of 277.06 acres of assigned lands in Kongarakhurdu village limits of Maheshwaram mandal of Rangareddy district. The collector issued a notification stating that it has been decided to acquire land for the establishment of an industrial park or IT park near the village. These lands will be acquired from 153 farmers. It is noteworthy that all of them are Lauvuni Patta lands. It was stated that transactions such as sale, purchase and leasing of these lands should not be carried out. It was suggested that those who have objections can register their objections in the presence of the Collector or an authorized officer within 60 days.

A small amount of compensation will be provided.

Land acquisition notifications have already been issued in Lagacharla, Dilawarpur, Thimmapur, Nagireddypalli and other areas under the joint Rangareddy district for the establishment of industrial estates. Most of this includes assigned lands and ceiling lands in some places. It is noteworthy that all the lands are crop lands cultivated by Dalits and tribals. There is criticism that the lands are being forcibly acquired while providing meager compensation. Farmers are angry over the arrest of opposing farmers and the taking of land with the help of the police. Especially in the joint Rangareddy and Sangareddy districts, the prices of land are in the crores of rupees, which is why there is strong opposition from the farmers. The government has not given more than Rs. 20 lakhs per acre as compensation, and the victims are complaining that they are not in a position to buy land anywhere else in the state with that money. They are demanding that if the government wants to set up so many industrial parks, it should pay the open market price and acquire the land, otherwise they should be given land in exchange.
